I'd like to try to get our old book club started up again. Sushuridi (Friday) is really the only day that works for me now. I think we used to meet at about 5:00 Virchers time?

Is anyone interested? And should we re-start The Feminine Universe (I have no idea where we left off, it's been too long) or should we pick a different book?

I should have mentioned--I realize that I have listed several expensive, hard-to-get books here for the reading club. While we do sell them, they are not really a profit-making venture, as far as I understand.

So, with the permission of the Powers Above, I would be willing to type up the selected book, scan in the pictures, and distribute it to the maidens who are taking part in the book club.

Though the vote is slightly in favor of Children of the Void, I feel that it is best to read Children of the Void after reading The Feminine Regime, as the characters in the former have read and talk about the latter. The plan, unless there are objections, is to read The Feminine Regime together followed by Children of the Void. (And then, if we're all still enjoying our meetings, The District Governess.)

If you have the monetary means to purchase a copy of The Feminine Regime, please do so as soon as you can.

If you haven't (after all, it is an expensive book), I am working on getting permission to distribute Elektra-copies to the maidens in the book club. I cannot guarantee that I will succeed.

However, there is the possibility being tossed about of Miss Snow's trilogy being re-published as Elektra-books and, eventually, as paperbacks.

Upon the writing of this message, I am in the middle of copying chapter three of The Feminine Regime into Elektra-format. Something shall be done with it--I just cannot say what yet!

The Feminine Regime seems to be out of print and is very expensive if available on any of the outlander elecktra-sites. Does anyone know of any other options?

Oh, goodness, don't purchase it on outlander Elektrasites! Talk to Madonna-chei. I believe it costs about $50 in Aristasia. (Which, to me, is still expensive, but worth it for such a precious, important book.)

I have thought of another alternative to purchasing the book--storytime! I have a good headset now and have figured out how to stop all the background-breathing noise. I could read the chapter aloud, and maidens without the book could take notes on the parts they want to discuss. Maidens who do have the book could follow along, or turn up later after storytime has ended. Then we can discuss.

This could allow us to begin the book club without waiting for permission to distribute an Elektra-script of FR, waiting for an original copy to come in the post, or waiting for it to get published again (if that ever happens).

I think this is a lovely idea - the story time I mean - Yayy for Story Time!

Well here is the news. If the book is typed up, it will be released as an eBook and members of the book club may share it free.

It may also be published as a paperback but we need to look into the practicalities of that, however it will at last be available to the public again in some form.

We ought to be able to start the book club as soon as next Friday. When did we used to meet? Does 5:00 Virtualian time work for everyone?
